At the moment im working on a 32 times 32 pixel LED matrix.

Ive bought 16 8x8 led matrix blocks from Ebay. And I’ve arranged them in a 4 times 4 fashion. Each of the pixels can either be red or green (or yellow if i turn both colors on)

I’ve finished the the print that gonna supply the LED’s with power. I’ve posted a picture so to easier imagine what it will look like once its done.

All of the white dots are pixels. The 16 block measures 12.8cm both directions (5.04 inches)

I’m currently designing the control stages thats gonna sit underneath and control everything. As of know I got an idea on how its gonna look in my head, but it usually changes. So you will have to wait till I actually start building to see it.

But I can tell you some things i got planned:

16 buttons and 3 turnable knobs for input

and a definitely idea of adding 2 player pong on it ;)

I’m a 24 year old guy.

I live in Århus, Denmark. 

I work at the university in my town, in one their electronic service places.

So I help repair old equipment, but also help design new equipment. I’m very fond of it, because theres so much diversity in what we do. new things every week sometimes.

Its also a perfect place to put all kinds of electronics projects together, and to work on them. Since we have a lot of equipment for that.

I usually do the designing and programming at home. But all the building and troubleshooting is done at work after hours.

Hi all.

Ive been wanting to do a blog for some time now, mostly just about electronic projects. So today i started to start one. 

First i wasn’t sure where to put it, but tumblr seem like a really nice place to blog.

Ive never blogged before some I’m curious to see how it will turn out.

The blog will be about me and the projects im working on.
